What we Believe at Pursuing the Truth Ministries

God

We believe that there is one true God that is infinite, omniscient, has all power, is sovereign, and exists in three persons (God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit).

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of the virgin Mary. He was both man and God. He was a real person that walked the earth. Jesus Christ is our way to the Father and through faith in Him we can receive eternal life.

The Family

We believe that a strong family unit is ordained by God. We believe in the preservation and nurturing of the family unit where all members can grow in their Christian faith and grow to become great men and women of God fulfilling their God given purpose.

Giving

We believe that people should give according to how they have decided in their hearts, and that decision is based on the value of this ministry to the people. We do not teach that Christians are supposed to tithe.

The Pastor

is the servant of God given to the people to serve. The pastor’s primary task is to instruct the people in the truths of God’s Word.

The Bible

is the Word of God. It is the written authority of Christian truth. It records the revelation of God to humans.

The Gospel of Christ

is that Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead on the third day by the power of God. Through Christ we can have eternal life.

Salvation

comes through faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is not based on righteous acts, i.e., works. Our righteousness is totally in Christ. We are justified by faith not works..

Authority

We hold that the ultimate authority in a person’s life is God. That authority transcends any denomination, opinion, religion, or dogma. The authority of God transcends people’s perception about a pastor as well. We all will have to answer to God for what we have done and have not done.
