The Family Fellowship

In our 13th year together!

OBJECTIVES For the Year

The objectives for this year is a continuation from last year with more specific goals in mind. However, this year I would like to incorporate something more on the end of fellowship and family heritage. I would like to create a volume or volumes of information about the family as far back as we can go. See below for details for the objectives here.

Biblical Objectives

This year I would like to continue with more difficult type questions then what we are probably accustomed to in churches. Pursuing the Truth receives real questions from real people all over the world and I would like to use some of those questions for our meeting discussions. Some other topics that we will discuss this year are:

  • Divine providence
  • If God cares and loves us then why do we suffer?
  • What is the difference between Christianity and any other religion? Here we will overview the beilefs of other religions and contrast them with Christianity
  • How can we rightly say that Jesus Christ is the only way to God?
  • How do you know that you are going to heaven? Is it possible to discover that you will go to hell when you are before Jesus at the judgment seat?
  • What is righteousness and how do we get it?

Fellowship Objectives

  • Record the history of the family - I would like for everyone to record events in their life as children. Describe a particular day that your remember as a child. Also describe various days as you were growing up. The purpose of this is to have a living history of the family. You can use a cassette recorder to record yourself or for you technically knowledgable ones you can burn an audio CD. I would like for everyone to do this all year and at the end of the year we'll compile it for distribution.
  • Write down the history of the family - In addition to recording a narrative of family history, please feel free to write that history as well.
